mpdtoys software package provides small command line tools and toys for MPD, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install mpdtoys
mpdtoys is installed in your system.
Make ensure the mpdtoys package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep mpdtoys *
You will get with mpdtoys package name, version, architecture and description in a table
